Meet Moya! She’s been in the Summit Program for almost two years after joining in 2025 and she’s now in her second year of the program.
Moya moved from Adelaide so that she could have the opportunity to work in camping ministry. She had a desire to grow…in her own faith, and competencies, all while being able to share the gospel with many young people.
After she finished school, Moya took a gap year and volunteered in camping ministry in the UK. After getting a taste of camping ministry and experiencing the joy of seeing young people come to know their Saviour, she knew uni wasn’t the right next step for her. Moya wanted to move and work somewhere closer to home and increase her ministry experience and skills as well as continuing to share Jesus.
Moya heard about the Summit Program online and was amazed at what the program offered. A paid traineeship where she could study towards qualifications in outdoor education and ministry as well as weekly camps. She couldn’t imagine anything better to do with her life.

Moya was recently on camp and reflected on one experience she had with a camper:
After a debrief at archery, Amelia* came up to me and asked me how she could cure her problem of sin. On the walk to lunch, we chatted about how she had understood for the first time that she wasn’t perfect and she needed Jesus to help her.
The experience of archery meant I was able to link in the imperfection of every human heart with the imperfection of their archery shots. God used that to open her eyes to the gospel.
During my discussion group on the second day after filling out some questions in the booklet, the other girls wanted to play a game, but Amelia asked to keep looking at questions that she had. Questions like:
How do I let God into my life?
How do I hear Him when I pray?
How do I go to church when my parents won’t let me?
During the final discussion group, when I mentioned the possibility of receiving a Bible, Amelia’s face brightened. She followed me all the way back to the main room to make sure she got her Bible.
Amelia’s camp experience was such a real example of how God uses His Spirit to open and change hearts. Please be praying for Amelia, that she would continue to be curious, can read her Bible and find a Christian community to help grow her in her faith.
